If you intend to go to the community centre rather than order via the link it is probably best whilst restrictions persist to arrange with David Hurst (a member of this group) to arrange collection at the Centre.
CAN I ARRANGE A GROUP PICK?
In short yes! However please ensure it follows government guidelines.
Help to promote it or create it as a group event can be requested via admin of this group.
WHAT DO WE DO WITH THE BAGS ONCE THEY'RE FULL?
Leave them by an official council street bin and they will automatically be removed by the street scene team as they are fully aware of our work.

Via they Report it App from your App store or by contacting your local Councillor.
HOW DO I FIND OUT WHO THE LOCAL COUNCILLOR IS AND/OR CONTACT THE LOCAL COUNCILLOR FOR MY LOCAL AREA?
Use the following link and type in your post code, press search, select your address, go to the very bottom of the page which then loads and there it will show who your councillor is (there are three for each ward) if you click on any of their names you will find out how to contact them here.
WHAT DO WE DO ABOUT ANY NEEDLES WE MAY FIND?
Via the My Report it App (found here) from Wigan Council via the app store on your smart device and do not attempt to remove them yourself!
WHAT DO WE DO WITH ANY SCRAP METAL?
We have been put in contact with a scrap metal merchant whom you may contact, and they will arrange to come and remove it.

HOW DO I ASK THE COUNCIL TO DO A SESSION IN MY/MY CHILDRENS SCHOOL ABOUT LITTER PICKING?
You can contact them via Email.
HOW DO I NOMINATE A YOUNG LITTER PICKER OF THE WEEK?
Inbox Rachel Heydon (group admin) with the name, age, a brief description of why you are nominating them and if possible, a picture.
Your nomination WILL be saved and rewarded so there is only a need to nominate them once with a choice of postal or personal delivery of reward. Winners are announced on Sunday mornings.
HOW DO I REPORT ISSUES SUCH AS FLY TIPPING, UNEMPTIED BINS ETC?
